May 596
The increased slave raids are getting the appropriate response. With my pawns
seeded along the border towns, pressure for armed responses to Niman’s depredations
should start pouring soon.
Have sent patrol movements to Bajac so that he can establish the mining operations
soon. Now I just have to avoid being enslaved myself! (hee hee!)
June 596
Valdric’s boss is none other than Tarlov of the Ghosthand! Oh, my! Oh, me!
This is as big as I thought! I just hope that he is happy with my work.
The location of the Vampire’s lair is uncovered, and sent on to Valdric.
I no longer want to know why he needs this information. His plans are his own!
July 596
Mining operations shut down by the Pyx. Annoying Adventurers! AND What IS a Pyx
anyway!? They should get a real name, then come back! Oh, well... Valdric says T is
happy with the direction of the operation.
Went to Elysia as Valdemar and arranged to capture smiths later in August.
Must arrange to have minions go in my stead. Cannot let Woodbridge get suspicious
again! Have heard that similar projects in other Duchies that have worked well,
although Ravenholt will be hit later.
Aug 596
Have scrubbed trip to Ravenholt as Valdemar. Too risky to go in looking for
smiths to construct items when rumor has it that their material will be
crumbling away soon. Don’t know if I should believe it but why take the chance?
Chirops says that Loris is nearly broken after her captivity. Maybe I can turn
her to my work. She seems intelligent and skilled enough. We’ll see...
False Nimani ships sent to Tolereb for blockade. Obliterated shipwrights
involved (well, some of them... It was diverting while it lasted, look forward to
seeing the results.)
Sep 596
Reports from agents say that the Elysian smiths failed to make the meet on
several occasions. Dishonest merchants! I will make them pay at a later date
for their lack of integrity.
Understand that Kymri, one of the dealers is trying to contact me as Valdemar.
Keep an eye out on that one...
Chirops tells me that Loris almost escaped. The insanity was a ploy. I guess
she won’t be a workable agent. Oh well... Just have to blow her up later...
Blockade went well and our people escaped, (for now). Nimani sent their own ships.
I guess that Vordan must be getting pretty upset. GOOD!
Opportunity presented to me by Chirops and an agent of Valdric to sneak into
Elven court.
LINDERIOS ELTARI: Quentari Elf Astrologer Age 487, Native of Quentari(Din-Oth).
Orphaned in a slave raid at birth.
Friends with Queen Mother Arienwen (advisor and courtier.)
No significant enemies.(As far as I could determine
Skilled Astrologer and Astronomer, as well as knowledgeable in tailoring,
cooking, painting, the recorder, and history (specializing in the elven races of
all cultures and their ties to each other.)
A fun-loving, humorous woman with a perpetual smile and a bounce to her step.
(Specifically every third step) She also possesses a hidden deviousness that
surprises people when it does show. A purist and a racist like her mistress,
dedicated to her cause of saving the Quentari race.
ACTIVITIES AS LINDERIOS ELTARI:
-
Awaken at 5:30 in the morning and lay out Arienwen’s garb.
-
Prepare water for bath, Prep breakfast.
-
Eat breakfast with Arienwen and discuss the day’s activities.
-
Run various errands and business for the Queen Mother.
-
Prepare dining room for evening meal, eat dinner with the Queen Mother.
-
Time for personal activities during mid afternoon while Royal court or houses are in session.
While in Quentari, convince Arienwen that now is the time to enact a quiet raid in
Niman to spark a border incident (Agents will incite Nimani citizens to respond to
the attack) in the firm belief that no one will believe Quentari initiated the attack.
When completed three day stay, get out of kingdom and back to Axelburg.
The plan went well, but Arienwen would hear nothing of my plan to spark a border
incident. Took this as a sign to take the initiative, and authorize the mission in
her name.
Oct 596
Unparalleled opportunity arrived today with the appearance of a spirit wracked
Andre and Arkon Voltan. Obviously, T’s work. Used my charm to convince Woodbridge
that I might be able to save them with Formal magick but that it was risky!
The Obliterate scroll that I used is highly dangerous, but it worked!
Convinced the mayor to use bodies to frame Niman and took care of the
arrangements personally. A little out of character, but he is so distraught
at his "betrayal" he will never notice. Am almost done with Loris.
Have decided to sell her to Sutherland necromancers for transformation to
an undead minion. She should do the job well. Will get Bajac’s people to
take her down.
Have arranged through Chirops to test Myriad and Kymri to see if they should
get to go to the Chaos Summit. Whichever shows promise will be escorted to the
scene. If both do, all the better.
VALDEMAR: Human, Merchant, Age 28, Birthplace, not apparent
(one of those mysterious wanderers. I always wanted to play one of them!)
Skilled merchant and trader knowledgeable in evaluation and sales.
No real friends or enemies at this time.(Aug 21 596 last update.)
Rest of information to be kept elsewhere to preserve secrecy of identity.
To anyone who may find this, he may or may not truly exist... If he does,
I have held him since December 595...
