An Introduction by the Author

Perspective is everything when writing the history of such a famous frontier duchy like Ravenholt. Chronological events are indisputable fact, but the "how"s and "why"s of milestones are always open to several interpretations. With that said, I ask that thee be forewarned that history is constantly being rewritten, (for even myself is guilty thereof), and things that we believe as "fact" at one point may indeed be not the case when viewed from a different perspective. It has often been said that "History is written by the Victors". One would wonder what the other side might say in rebuttal to the history you are about to read. The following work is considered an accurate version of the events leading up to the creation of the land we know today as the Duchy of Ravenholt - let the reader believe of it, what ye may.
